High on the Holy ghost
What gets you going? For some people it’s energy drinks, for others it’s alcohol.
For me, it’s speaking the language of the Spirit- supernatural and powerful!
What do I get from it?
· Attraction of heavenly beings that understand the language (angel) and they run errands for me e.g get that manager to read my email or cause a protocol to be amended for my sake. Heb 1:14
· Love and compassion to spread to others 1Jn 4:7-8
· Energy to continue my activities for the day with enthusiasm and diligence Eph 3:16
· Wisdom to speak the right words in all seasons Col 4:6
· Cleansing from unclean things I may be exposed to from adverts, bill boards, stray thoughts Ps 51:10
· The fruit of the Spirit manifests through me Gal 5: 22-23
Never forget to intermittently PAUSE and P-I-T (pray in tongues)
The result is awesome!
Early discovery of purpose
Does this order of event sound familiar: child birth-education-marriage-work/fulfilment of purpose.
That’s how most parents were raised, but I’m sure we want our children to be better than us. Therefore, it’s important for our children to have a personal relationship with their creator. As they get to know God in whose image they were created, they discover their identity and reason for existence. Gen 1:28.
Build precept upon precept; line upon line (Is 28:10), with the help of the Holy Spirit and time spent with the word, they can discover purpose early and run with it Hab 2:1-2. Running with vision early doesn’t mean they will launch out prematurely. It means they would live with a consciousness of who they are, why they exist and be excellent at anything they do.

End of year retreat
It is time to celebrate the end of another year.
♦️Pls invest some time prayerfully planning towards a prosperous 2023 if you have not done so.
♦️Start off with generous thanksgiving to God.
♦️Encourage your older children to do the same.
🤔You need a retreat to reflect on the outgoing year, lessons learnt and how to improve greatly in the coming year.
♦️If you haven’t had a personal retreat before and you are not sure of what to do, you can do an appraisal of your spiritual life, marriage/family/children, career, finance, health etc.
♦️What did you do well?
♦️What did you not do so well?
♦️What do you need to continue doing or intensify or stop doing?
♦️It is very important that you write your thoughts in a journal and keep it for reference/ re-appraisal throughout the year.
♦️Support your older children to do the same and help them to set realistic goals for the coming year. Click here to request support through one to one chat.

BIBLE-BASED PARENTING 002
All glory to God for the journey of your life so far. Most parents desire that their children live a better life than theirs. Here are a few things to reflect on as to take steps towards making this a reality.
Apply the questions listed below to these broad areas: spiritual; academic; managing finance, managing relationships.
1) what level is your child now?
2) where do you want him/her to be, say within a specific, realistic period of time?
3) what do you need to do to move to the level you desire?
For instance, if your child cannot read the bible on his own, and you would like him/her to be able to do so within the next one month. Try to understand why he doesn’t read the bible but can read other books. Perhaps, he does not have a bible purposely designed for his age, or he has never seen you reading your bible possibly because you use electronic bibles. Then, address the identified gap.
You can deliberately set aside a time for bible reading. You can provide activities or bible games after reading to make it interesting and sustainable (free online bible games and craft ideas are available but these resources should not replace the bible itself).
Consistency is key not necessarily the amount of time spent. Build line upon line….Isaiah 28:10
The foundation for a glorious future is a personal walk with the owner of life.

# reaping the ripe harvest
Have you noticed that relocation abroad is easier now than it was many years ago?
You are at your current location for a reason. Make yourself available to be part of God’s end-time plan to reap the ripe harvest.
Start with the children under your watch. SHOW them how to develop and maintain a personal walk with God.
Ensure that you lead by example- how is your personal altar? are you growing consistently spiritually? can people experience the love of God through you?
Let the evangelism begin from your home and spread it to others.
May God help us.
#DO
🔸️Weldone for your efforts at raising Godly children. May be your children know a number of bible stories/memory verses; pray so well or even play some instruments in worship, thank God for their lives. May they continue to grow in grace &wisdom.
🔸️BUT…
How much of transformation of character can you see in them by the word they hear or read (James 1:22). Is the fruit of the Spirit evident in them? (Gal 5:22-23).Do they show love, joy, peace… at home and outside the home.
🔸️Mothers, let’s pay attention to helping the children ‘do’ as much as we put efforts into making sure they ‘hear’ the word.
For instance, when you have taught a child obedience and prayed for the help of the Holy Spirit to remind him/her to obey promptly & completely, you can take further steps like asking the child to share with you instances where they have found it difficult to obey and why they disobeyed. Have a discussion about how they can make the right choice to obey when next similar situation arises.
🔸️Pls share your insights about how you have been consciously supporting your child to ‘do’ in the comment box below.
BIBLE-BASED PARENTING.
Just want to share this insight with you. Good parents pray for their offsprings to do greater exploits than them. The question is are you taking steps to make this happen? Praying alone is not enough.
The height you have attained is a result of the depth of your knowledge/revelation ( ….as far as you can see …Gen 13 vs 15). For your children to become greater, they have some work to do as well with your guidance.
They must walk with God early in life and deeper than you did when you were younger.
For instance, if you first heard about things like purpose or leadership as a teenager, your children can learn from you earlier. There were people like Daniel and Josiah in bible times who stood out from a young age.
✴God is the creator and has the instruction manual for each child accessible through the Holy Spirit. Always ask the Holy Spirit for help/ guidance. E.g on the issue of puberty and how to share age appropriate and timely information. However, there are basic principles for all believers including children.
✴Some tips:
Guide your children (as soon as they can say a few words) to access revelation through consistent bible study. (Assuming you already know that fulfilment of destiny is dependent on access to revelation Jer 1:5). You may have a designated place for each child’s personal quiet time, a chart to help consistency (but you can do without the chart and allow flexibility when the child has gained mastery e.g the Holy Spirit may be leading the child to read a chapter different from the usual reading plan)
✴Attend their personal quiet time a couple of times to provide guidance then leave them to it but check their journal/ discuss with them and answer their questions. My offspring shall be greater. Help me Lord!

Be focused
Mothers, you can help your children get best from a church service. Here are some tips:
- Prepare to meet your Lord: I was glad of the LORD Ps 122 vs 1
- Encourage your children to pray before attending a service, attend joyfully and have an expectation. You should lead by example. Do not attend service because you have to do something there, model church attendance to your children as a joyous act of worship.
- If you still have to connect service from home; have a designated space if possible, keep the space tidy and free from distractions(no school/homework materials, phones-no calls/chat, toys, food, drink). If your toddler needs to eat, prepare a food corner outside the space designated for service.
2) Be focused and participate in the service: Children especially younger ones will follow whatever you do.
- Encourage your children to sing/pray along and follow the instruction from the service leader.
- Engagement: If there is provision for children church, please allow your child take advantage of the opportunity. Please read previous blog post below (call to worship) on how to help your child benefit maximally from Sunday school. If you have your child with you in the adult church, here are some suggestions:
- Age 1-3 years: Make colouring pencils and bible based colouring sheets available to keep the child busy during the sermon as he/she may not understand the preacher
- Age 4-6 years: Provide children bible based activity books, you can either purchase one or make one yourself (if you need help with this, please leave a message here)
- >6 years: As soon as your child is able to listen and write sentences, provide an attractive children bible/beautiful bible journal; encourage your child to pay attention and take notes while the sermon is being preached (Please read previous blog post here -Read the Word 001)
Call to worship 001
Churches were closed for about a year in most nations of the world, this meant children could not attend Sunday school. Recently, churches have opened for worship. Have you resumed?
During lock down, some parents spent more time deepening their relationship with God (with or without their children’s involvement). Other parents channelled the extra time gained from not having to attend church services to professional or non-professional engagements. Whatever you used the extra time for, that is in the past.
Going forward, what are your plans for helping your child(ren) get back on track in their walk with God. Here are some suggestions:
- Ensure consistent attendance at Sunday school and help your children practice what they have been taught.
- Schedule a regular time during the week to tell your children more about God. Talking about God’s faithfulness and goodness to you during the week is a good point to start a discussion.
- ….Talk about God’s commandments when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deut 6 vs 7
Knowing God and worshipping him is an awesome experience. Do not rob your children of the chance to do so.
STEWARDSHIP
About 4 years ago, the Lord gave me five pillars for raising Godly children- Know the Lord, Love the Lord, Serve the Lord, Read the word (Live the word) and pass it on…
What is your service unto the Lord? How have you modelled kingdom service unto your children?
There are various ways to serve the Lord (evangelism, music ministration, helping the needy). It is a way of showing we love God- investing time, money and energy.
Do not attend church as a floor member, be actively involved in the church community rendering assistance to make things work in the house of the Lord. You can always find a useful role to play in your father’s house despite your busy schedule.
As you engage in singing, ushering, cleaning and other services, your children will observe and do likewise.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Pr 22 vs 6
CONSISTENCY
Your role in nurturing Godly children can not be over emphasized.
Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 6 vs 7
NOT ENOUGH
Many years ago, Sunday school was just enough. Parents did not bother to do follow-up bible lessons but most children still turned out as responsible adults, maybe not at the height they are meant to be though.
Today, SUNDAY SCHOOL IS NOT ENOUGH! The children have access to so much information which could be correct or incorrect or inappropriate for age. Therefore, parents need to be intentional in ensuring that their children own a children bible, read it, understand the message (not just the story) and how it applies to them in our world today.
For instance, knowing about the story of Daniel and how he refused the King’s meal is good, but not good enough. You need to answer this question-How does it apply to your child? The king’s meal to a toddler may be abusive language while to a teenager it may mean online dating.
Always remember that your relationship with God is not transferrable. Each child needs to develop a personal and peculiar walk with God. Start today and build line upon line; precept upon precept. Isaiah 28 vs 10

Call to prayer

God does nothing except in response to believing prayer
John Wesley
If there is any child that you feel you have a responsibility towards their development, you are a mother figure to that child so, this is for you. Let’s shape the future of the coming generation through role modelling and prayers. Please add the following to your prayer requests as you pray in Jesus name.
- We pray that God’s presence is activated in schools (God is omnipresent but people need to consciously desire the manifestation of divine presence). May the light of his glory shine and overshadow every darkness responsible for negative behaviour/occurrences in schools- bad temper, foul language, gender confusion, knife crime etc
- We pray that passion for God will increase and over run the desire for ungodly activities. Children are created in God’s image, we pray that the Spirit of God in them will refuse wrong teachings and misinformation.
- We pray that the exposure of our children to the internet will be useful for their all round development and not to their detriment.
NOTHING HAPPENS IN THE PHYSICAL IF NO ONE PUSHES IN THE SPIRIT.
